Ingredients of Chennur Kodi Pulao



Chicken - 1/2 kg,
Basmati rice - two cups,
Onions :2 ,
Green Chillies: five (to divide vertically),
Ginger-Garlic Paste
Chopped tomato pieces - 1/4 cup,
Coriander, mint - 1-1,
Water - two cups,
Ghee:1/2 cup,
Yogurt - half a cup,
Chilli Powder - large spoon,
Turmeric - 1/4 spoon,
Salt- enough,
Garammasala - 1/2spoon,
Coriander Powder - large spoon,
Cashew nuts - 1/4 cup.
For Masala:
Cloves - 5,
Cinnamon - 1,
Cardamom: 3,
Anasa Puvvu - 1,
Marathi flower - one,
Mace - one,
Biryani leaves - 2.

Instructions to make Chennur Kodi Pulao recipe


Preparation: Take the chicken in a bowl and add ginger garlic paste,chilli powder,turmeric,Coriander powder,Garam Masala and Yogurt each one half spoon after put aside it for half an hour.

Place a thick bowl or Pan over the stove and add oil.

When it's hot, fry the chicken and cook for two to three minutes.

Then lower the flame and put the lid on.

Boil the chicken 1/3 times and put it side.

Place the ghee in a pan and place it on the stove.

Add   and grill the biryani leaves, cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon, anasa puvvu, Marathi flower, mace and cashew nuts and also Add onion and cloves ,then grill the onion slices until becomes into brown color then add ginger -garlic paste in which add tomato slices, coriander and mint leaves.

Now pour three and a half cups of water.

When they are boiled, add the soaked rice, salt and put lid.

After Eighty per cent rice should be boiled.

Now add this eighty percent boiled rice to the prepared chicken mixture.

Cook this for 15 minutes in a small flame.

Finally, remove the lid and serve the rice and chicken pieces.
